The Awards is an opportunity to get your music recognised and heard. The award will stand for your success in being unsigned; in retaining your artistic integrity, creativity and freedom.

Music isn’t exclusive and neither are we. The I AM Awards will be as diverse as music itself, open to a variety of genres. Indie/Rock, R’n’B/Hip Hop, Grime/Garage, Pop/Alternative, Funk and Jazz, Gospel, Dance, Acoustic, Electronic or Punk.

The awards will be judged by professionals in the film, television, gaming and advertising industries who will be looking for content, creativity, your track record and progress through our coaching and performance programme.

Empowered Solo Artist

This award honours the phenomenal achievement of solo artist's.  Artists, male or female, can put themselves forward for nomination, or be nominated by fans. Artists must have: organised and performed regular gigs across London; created their own promotional materials; and sold their music, either in physical or digital formats — either through self-management or through a management company. The award will be judged on quality of music and promotional activity

Nominate An Artist

Bands or solo artists can be nominated by fans.

Band of the Year

Bands can put themselves forward for nomination for this award, or be nominated by fans, where the band has: organised and performed gigs across London; created promotional materials and a fan base; have sold their own music, either in physical or digital formats — either through self-management or through a management company. The award will be judged based on quality of music and promotional activity.

New Artist Manager

Behind a great musician there is often a great manager.  The award will highlight the skill, dedication and creativity of an artist manager, honouring their role in helping to bring artists’ success.

The Essence Of Song Writing

This award seeks out unrecognised song writing talent. These solo artists or bands will demonstrate a unique style and popularity within their peers, including collaborating with other writers and producers. This award is also open to dedicated songwriters who do not perform but write material for solo artists and bands.

EP Of The Year

This award highlights the hard work and approach involved in creating the ‘Demo’. We want to honour everyone who contributes, including producers, songwriters, and performers— relevant for bands, groups, solo artist and collaborative projects.

Single Of The Year

This award recognises the artists who stream all their talent and technical ability into making music. We want to honour everyone who contributes, including producers, songwriters, and performers— relevant for bands, groups, solo artist and collaborative projects.

Producer Of The Year

This award will celebrate the significant artistic contributions of people who combine creativity and technical talent to turn sounds into unforgettable music. Producers can be involved with bands, solo artist and collaborative projects

Music Video Of The Year

Visuals can combine with music to create truly memorable works of art.  This award honours the videos that best capture the spirit of their music.

Contribution To Unsigned Music

This award is focussed on the unsigned industry itself, we want to acknowledge and bring together all offline and online businesses, creators, open mics, festivals, television shows and competitions who are all supporters of unsigned music in forwarding artist success. Establishments will be judged on their, impact on artist success, inspiration and entertainment value, media exposure, use of resources and fan attraction.
